Mark them calendars! I’m having a show of original watercolors at Culture: An American Yogurt Company in Park Slope that opens NEXT Saturday July 14th 5-7pm. Come for the art, stay for the free brand new seasonal topping they’ll be unveiling at the opening. Directions to Culture here.
Culture is known for making the best fresh yogurt around (frozen and not) and having some spectacular topping choices (think key lime pie, maple syrup parfait, etc.) So for the show I thought I’d suggest some even more spectacular topping choices. For example, here’s the piece the show is named after:
OK, well maybe some of these are better on paper. It’s 15 pieces in all. Everyone original of them is for sale $75 including a frame!
Here’s a kid/dinosaur-lover friendly one:
And one with all the tattoos any self-respecting urban fro-yo should have:
So please come along to the opening if you can and tell all your friends. If you can’t make it, the good news is the show will be up through the summer.
Overall, I’m very honored to be showcased by the fine folks over at Culture. They emailed me out of the blue about showing after this very dairy-oriented FuckedInParkSlope cartoon and, as the show’s title would suggest, it’s been a dairy-infused dream ever since. They even had Casey and I over to sample their wares and get some inspiration. That was amazing.
In case you’ve ever wondered what it looks like when I’m thinking. Here it is:
